Every kitchen needs a KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer. It is one of the most helpful tools in the
kitchen. You’re sure to go far with this simple machine. From its beginnings in the early 1900s, it sure has
come a long way. Today, even professional kitchen use this machine, but would you believe that a baker mixing
bread with a spoon was the first inspiration for this invention.
In 1908, Herbert Johnson was watching a baker make bread. Then, the young Hobart Manufacturing
Company engineer had an idea. What if he could come up with a mechanical spoon that mixed the dough much
quicker? So he made the first electric stand mixer – and he made it big. They were so big, in fact, that they
weighed about sixty pounds, and were only used in bakeries. It was not until 1919 when they would produce a
stand mixer that would be fit for home use.
Herbert Johnson was asked what the new invention would be called. He replied that he did not
really care what the company called the mixer. All he knew that the mixer was the best kitchen aid he ever
had. And thus, KitchenAid was born.
Today, the most commonly used stand mixer is called the KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer. Because of its versatility and
machine power, it’s the choice for most cooks and chefs. It can fit about nine cups inside the mixing bowl. It
is also equipped with a tilt head function, which is designed to easily and efficiently mix food.
The KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer comes with three different
attachments. Like the traditional stand mixer, it has a flat beater which can be used for basic batters for
bread, pastries and more. It is also good at creaming butter for great-tasting cookies or icing. Meanwhile, the
wire whisk attachment is used to make whipped cream and merengue. Pizza and bread dough will be a flash to make
with the dough hook attachment. These are the three tools you will ever need in your kitchen to make a perfect
home-cooked meal. You’ll be able to use it for a lot of different dishes and with the many optional attachments
as you’ll start making your food from scratch. There are sausage maker and meat grinder accessories available if
you want to start making your own meat dishes. You’ll be able to do all of your kitchen jobs in one efficient
machine.
The newer stand mixer also comes in a lot of different colors – not just the regular blue, black
and white you usually see. You’ll be able to get them in colors like majestic yellow or metallic chrome.
Unlike the original KitchenAid Mixer, the KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer truly has gone a long way. Since
1919, KitchenAid has been making high quality mixers that are truly an aid in the kitchen. In restaurants and
home kitchens, it is the kitchen appliance of choice for cooks. Don’t let your kitchen be without this marvelous
invention.
